Pete, the Panther

Pete, the Panther

Q & A with Pete the Panther

Q: When were you born?

A: I was born in June 25, 1925.

Q: What is your favorite sport to play?

A: I love playing soccer there is just something I love about chasing a ball around.

Q: What is your favorite sport to attend?

A: I love going to the football games, everyone wants to take pictures with me! (I feel so popular)

Q: What was your favorite memory from the 2015 year?

A: I was able to dance with the cheer team at Homecoming! I got to show off my moves it was so great! Also, celebrating a SCIAC title with the men’s basketball team. No better feeling than winning a championship!

Q: What scares you the most?

A:    When people bring dogs to the Chapman stadium. Don’t they know dogs and I don’t get along? Plus, we have a brand new field and it’s not meant for dogs. We try to keep the field in prime condition for our student-athletes and me, of course!

Q: What’s your favorite hobby?

A: I enjoy dancing, prowling cheering our teams on to victory and mingling.

Q: How did finals go for you this year?

A: They went great! I got a 4.0 in leadership, spirit and athletics. The hardest part was waiting in line at Starbucks.

Q: What is your favorite place on campus?

A: Well, nothing really beats the piazza in the afternoon on a spring day. The best is Spring Sizzle! But the new Musco Center is GORGEOUS! I love it when I get to go in there! Of course, it’s always a good time at Chapman Stadium on a nice fall Saturday night!

Q: How will you spend your summer?

A: You can find me in the gym and staying in shape to keep cheering on our teams next year. When I’m not working out, I think I will be spending my time lounging around by the pool (not in it of course…you know how I feel about water).

Q: What is your goal for next year?

A: You mean in addition to winning more SCIAC titles? My goal for next year is to have everyone follow me and my fellow Panthers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter...@ChapmanSports, just in case you were wondering

Q: Anything you want to add Pete?

A: Shout out to President Doti for his dedicated time, effort and spirit to CU! I’ll keep making you proud Doti promise!
