Molly Davis, Swimming & Diving

Of the 10 school records broken at the SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championship, freshman Molly Davis was involved in five. She broke two individual records while helping the Panthers shatter three relay records. She was also the only Panther to reach the podium three times – once individually and twice in a relay.

Davis began her first championship meet by leading off the 800 free relay in record-breaking fashion. Her time of 1:53.92 was the fastest 200 free in school history. Two days later she swam the individual event in the 200 free and qualified for finals with the fourth-best time in the prelims. She beat her own school record in finals with a 1:53.24 and took third to become the first Chapman swimmer to reach the podium at the championship since Julie Case in 2014.

The Tigard, Ore., native swam on the record-breaking 400 medley, 200 free and 400 free relay team. She helped the 200 free relay and 400 free relay teams to the podium as well with both taking third – the highest finish for a Chapman relay at the championship. Individually, she also took sixth in the 200 fly.
