Kristen Weiser, Softball

Senior Kristen Weiser helped the softball team to a 4-4 record this past week while the team travelled to Tucson, Ariz. for a six-game tournament after splitting a doubleheader with Piedmont last Wednesday. The Lake Forest, Calif. native hit .563 on the week with eight RBIs and three walks. She hit two sacrifice flies, including a walk-off sac fly in the seventh inning in the Panthers’ 5-4 victory over Cornell College. Two of her eight RBIs also came as squeeze bunts to score the runners on third. The veteran ranks second on the team with a career-high .400 batting average.
