Alex Tsuruda helped push Chapman baseball team to a 4-0 start to the season in Tucson, Ariz. Over the course of the weekend, the senior from Danville, Calif. hit .500 with three doubles, five RBI’s, five stolen bases, and he scored seven times.

In Friday’s game against Pacific Lutheran, in the first game of the weekend, Tsuruda doubled in two runs to tie the game 3-3 in the fifth inning. The team went on to score 12 more runs, making it a 15-5 game. He sparked the game-winning rally with a single and a stolen base in the eighth against Piedmont, eventually scoring the go-ahead run.
