Adrien Rooney, Men's Tennis

Freshman Adrien Rooney helped the men’s tennis team to a perfect 3-0 week with wins over Haverford, Vassar and Wooster. The Livermore native won all three singles matches on the No. 2 court while going 2-1 on the doubles courts.

In Wednesday’s match against Haverford, Rooney and his doubles partner and fellow freshman Luke Bennett dropped the No. 2 match 8-5, but the rookie bounced back to win 6-3, 6-3 in his singles match. He helped Chapman to a 6-3 victory over Vassar with an 8-4 win in his doubles match and a 6-3, 6-2 win on the No. 2 singles court. Rooney then helped the Panthers to another 6-3 victory on Sunday with an 8-3 doubles win and a 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 win in his singles match.
