Sophomore Mykala Tokunaga played a key role this weekend during Chapman’s sweeps over Cal Lutheran and Occidental College. In the four games, Tokunaga went 10-for-14, helping the Panthers to an eight-game in streak.

Tokunaga had three hits and four runs scored in the Panthers’ first game against Cal Lutheran on Friday, which lasted 10 innings. She continued her hot streak in the second game of the day with three hits and two runs in the 14-3 run-rule win. Tokunaga also went 3-for-3 with two RBIs in Chapman’s 6-5 victory over Occidental and tallied one hit and one run in the nightcap.

The first baseman from Hilo, Hawaii maintained a .714 batting average throughout the weekend with seven total runs and six RBI.
