Freshman Arabella Reece shattered the Chapman 5k record at the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday. The rookie paced the Panthers, beating the previous record set by Sara Wanous in 2013 by 30 seconds. She came in 14th place in the open race with a time of 18:09.1, improving on her time last week by nearly 40 seconds.
