Rain forces changes to weekend schedule

ORANGE, Calif. – The latest storm to hit southern California has affected the schedule for Chapman Athletics this weekend. Softball, baseball and tennis have already altered their schedules for the weekend.

Today's baseball home-opener against Redlands has been postponed. The first SCIAC game for both teams will be made up but a date and time have not yet been set. Saturday's doubleheader at Redlands and Sunday's game against Bates remain as scheduled.

The softball team's home-opener was pushed back for the second week in a row due to rain. Sunday's doubleheader against George Fox has been cancelled and will not be made up. Due to the heavy rain expected today and into tomorrow, Saturday's SCIAC-opening doubleheader has been moved to Sunday at Pomona-Pitzer.

The All-Comers track meet at Pomona-Pitzer was cancelled due to inclement weather. The track teams will open their season next week at the Rossi Relays.

The men's tennis team was slated to travel to Biola for a match but that match has been pushed back to Tuesday at 2 p.m.

The women's lacrosse match at home against Pomona-Pitzer will still take place as scheduled. Both the women's tennis match at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps remains as scheduled as well. Men's golf still plans on playing both Saturday and Sunday for the SCIAC #1 at Brookside in Pasadena.
