Bio
Chapman's first female to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, Figlewicz played four years of softball for the Panthers from 1980-83. The left-hander was 23-3 as a freshman in 1980 with a 0.13 earned run average and batted .325, leading the Panthers to a second-place finish at the AIAW World Series. She earned first team All-Region and All-America in 1980 and '81, when Chapman placed third at the World Series. As a senior she posted a 0.69 ERA in 47 games.
In addition to her prowess on the diamond, Figlewicz was a Dean's List student and became Chapman's first-ever student-athlete to earn first team Academic All-America honors in 1983. She went on to become a doctor of optometry.
