Bio

Hertzler became the first Division III football player to be inducted into the Chapman Hall of Fame, and just the second football player in Chapman history to be honored, joining Ernie Chapman ’32. Hertzler was a part of the rebirth of Chapman football in 1994 as a starting offensive center and was a star in the classroom, earning Academic All-America honors twice in 1996 and '97.

He was a respected leader and team captain on the Panthers’ high-profile offense of the mid 90s which won 14 straight games and earned a top-25 national ranking. With Hertzler anchoring the offensive line, the Panthers set school records for passing, rushing and scoring - many of which still stand.
