Bio

To say Parkinson was a great volleyball and basketball player for Chapman in the early Division III days, would be an understatement. Recruited to Chapman when as it was transitioning from Division II to Division III, Parkinson simply dominated the Division III opposition with four-year career totals that may never be surpassed: 1,591 kills, 128 service aces and 1,040 digs - Chapman's only member of the 1,000-kill/1,000-dig club.

Parkinson led the Panthers to back-to-back NCAA playoff appearances in 1994-95 with over 400 kills each year. She was a four-year letter winner and key contributor to the Chapman women's basketball team during the same stretch, playing in every one of the Panthers' 96 games during her career and averaging over 5.5 points per game. She helped Chapman to its first NCAA Division III postseason appearance in 1997 when the Panthers won 19 games.
