Bio

Perhaps the most dominant player in Chapman's women's basketball history, Patterson is certainly the most decorated. A four-year starting forward for the Panthers, Patterson earned All-Conference honors all four years from 1982-86, including back-to-back CCAA Player of the Year awards during her junior and senior seasons. In fact, she graduated as Chapman's and the conference's all-time leading scorer in 1986 with 1,614 career points. The Chapman record stood for 18 years until Melody Bongiorno broke the record in 2004. Patterson still holds the Panther record for career rebounds with 900.

The six-footer earned Kodak All-West Region and All-America honors (twice) and was also an AWSF All-America selection. In 1984, she led the Panthers to their only West Regional championship in school history and was named West Regional MVP as the Panthers set the school record with 26 wins. Over her four years, the Panthers went 90-27 record and won two conference titles.

A native of New Zealand, Patterson played basketball internationally for many years, including earning a spot on the NZ Olympic team at the age of 37 during the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney, Australia.
