Spring athletes recognized on SCIAC All-Academic teams

ORANGE, Calif. – Forty three Chapman University spring sports student-athletes have been recognized for their achievement in the classroom by the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference which named its All-Academic teams by sport on this month. Leading the way for the Panthers was women’s track and field with 10 athletes honored.

Women’s water polo had eight players named, followed by six athletes apiece for the Panthers’ softball and women’s lacrosse teams to highlight the spring sports selections for Chapman.

To be eligible the student-athlete must have at least a 3.4 cumulative grade point average at the current institution, must have completed one full calendar year at the at the current institution and must have reached sophomore athletic eligibility.  In the case of transfers, graduate students, and two-year college graduates, the student-athlete must have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution.
