Carbajal earns All-America honors from D3Baseball.com

ORANGE – Chapman University senior Andrew Carbajal has been rewarded for his outstanding performance this season with All-SCIAC and All-Region recognition. Now he can add All-America to his resume. The senior outfielder and Panthers' leadoff man has been named to the D3Baseball.com All-America team, earning Honorable Mention for 2014.

Carbajal was amongst the conference leaders in several offensive categories, including batting (.392), total bases (93) and stolen bases (12). He led the Panthers with 67 hits and was third with 39 runs scored. The All-SCIAC first team selection drove in 30 runs, had an 18-game hitting streak and set a Chapman record with three grand slams in one season while helping Chapman to its first-ever SCIAC Tournament appearance and second-place finish.

He becomes the first Chapman D3Baseball.com All-American since right-handed pitcher Brian Rauh in 2012 and the Panthers' first position player to earn the award since Tristan Phillips in 2009.
