Cook named to D3Baseball.com All-West Region Team

ORANGE, Calif.- Chapman University junior IF Tyler Cook has been named to the D3Baseball.com All-West Region Second Team for the 2015 season. The junior First Team All-conference selection was named Second Team All-West Region for the first time in his career.  

The Tustin native tied for second in the SCIAC and 25th in the nation with 18 doubles this season. The junior ranked in the top-10 for several offensive categories in the SCIAC this season including fifth in total bases (96) and extra-base hits (25), sixth in both slugging percentage (.604) and total hits (60), eighth in batting average (.377), and ninth in at-bats (159).

The third baseman led the Chapman offense with 18 multiple-hit game and 10 multiple-RBI games, including a team-best of four hits against Pomona-Pitzer on April 10. The captain reached based consecutively in 24 games and led the Panthers with a 13-game hitting streak.  

Cook is just the seventh Panther to be named to the D3Baseball All-West Region team since 2012.
