Hernandez selected as SCIAC Pitcher of the Week

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior Jonathan Hernandez earned this week's SCIAC Pitcher of the Week honors after helping the Panthers notch two victories.

Hernandez's first win of the week came in an 11-1 victory over Ithaca on Tuesday afternoon. The San Mateo native allowed no runs and struck out three batters in four innings pitched against the Bombers.

The right-hander earned his third victory of the season as he pitched a stunner in the second game of the Cal Lutheran series this past weekend. He pitched the complete nine innings, allowing just one run while striking out a season-high 10 batters.

The Panthers return to the yard on Friday, March 22 as they head to Redlands.
