Chapman Radio announces football broadcast schedule

ORANGE, Calif. - For the third straight year, Chapman University Athletics will partner with the school's on-campus radio station, Chapman Radio, to broadcast the Panthers' football games in 2009 streaming live on the internet at www.chapmanradio.com. Chapman Radio has announced it will broadcast eight regular season games - home and away - beginning with the Panthers' home and season opener this Saturday against Menlo College at 7 p.m.

Sophomore Joe Fann will handle play-by-play duties with senior Jeff Black and junior Saul Spady handling commentary for the team's first broadcast on Saturday. Chapman Radio will go on the air live at approximately 6:45 p.m. with a pre-game show. Each weekly broadcast will also feature one-on-one interviews with players and coaching staff members from Chapman football.

The eight-game schedule includes Chapman's homecoming game against Whittier College on Oct. 10, as well as a road matchup with nationally-ranked Occidental  on Oct. 17. The Panthers are currently 15-12 in three seasons under head coach Bob Owens and looking for their third consecutive winning season.

Chapman Radio also plans to archive each broadcast on their website.
