Mehlhaff named to D3football.com Team of the Week
ORANGE, Calif. – Junior LB Mike Mehlhaff has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his efforts in the Chapman University football team's 45-22 Homecoming win over Whittier College on Oct. 15. Mehlhaff becomes the second Chapman linebacker to be named to the team this season, the other being sophomore LB Anthony Ferraro.
The Gresham, Ore. native had a game-high 10 tackles (8 solo, 2 assisted) including two tackles for loss. He also returned a blocked punt in the fourth quarter for a 15-yard touchdown. His 10 tackles against Whittier tied a career high which he also had last season in a 31-21 loss to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Mehlhaff leads the team in total tackles (38) and tackles for loss (4) this year.
