LaLonde selected to All-West Region team

ORANGE, Calif. – After spearheading an offensive line that paved the way for a record-breaking season, senior G Justin LaLonde was named to the D3Football.com All-West Region second team. The four-year starter becomes the first Chapman athlete to earn second team honors from D3Football.com, following three straight third-team selections.

LaLonde was one of just two players in the conference to earn All-West Region honors, joining Redlands' DT Daniel Kane, who earned third team honors. The two-time All-SCIAC honoree was part of an offensive line that allowed just six sacks all season while protecting a scoring offense that tallied 500.8 yards per game, including 253.2 rushing yards per contest.

The right guard received high marks from the Chapman coaching staff in the Panthers' record-tying 8-1 campaign. He allowed just two sacks while earning a grade of 93% over the entire season, with no single game grades dropping below 87%.

The award marks the fourth consecutive year Chapman has had a player named to the All-Region team as LaLonde follows in the footsteps of runningback Jeremiah McKibbins (2012), punter Jimmy Adranly (2011) and Jordan Pavlisin (2010).

The D3football.com All- Region teams were selected by sports information directors in each region and the D3football.com staff with a record-setting 952 nominations for the honor.
