Larkin earns Academic All-District honors

ORANGE, Calif. – Chapman University junior Conner Larkin earned Academic All-District honors from College Sports Information Directors of America on Thursday, Nov. 5. With Larkin's nod on the football Academic All-District team, he becomes the second Chapman student-athlete to earn the award this year.

This is the first time in his career that he has earned the prestigious award. Larkin also received SCIAC All-Academic team honors and was named to the All-SCIAC First Team in his sophomore season.

Larkin will advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration. The San Diego native was one of just three student-athletes from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference to receive All-District honors.

The junior safety ranks second on the team with 39 tackles, averaging 5.6 tackles per game. Larkin also leads the leads the team and ranks third in the SCIAC with two interceptions this season. He has made 101 tackles, including 61 solo tackles, and has five interceptions over his three-year career.

About the CoSIDA Capital One All-District Process: To be eligible for Academic All-District consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 (on 4.00 scale), have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.

Nominations and voting for the All-District and All-America programs are conducted by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America. There is a University Division (Division I programs) and a College Division (DII, DIII, NAIA, NJCAA programs).
