Football faces another road test at Redlands

• The Chapman University football team is facing off against the University of Redlands Bulldogs, who are 3-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. The Panthers have won the last two games against the Bulldogs, but are 5-14-1 overall in program history. The last time these two teams faced off Chapman beat Redlands 27-13.

• Chapman is coming off its first SCIAC win. The Panthers beat the Whittier Poets 34-10 last weekend to go 1-1 in conference play.

• The Bulldogs are coming off a 49-14 win against the University of La Verne. Junior quarterback Mitch Kidd threw for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Junior running back Alex Andrighetto rushed for two touchdowns on 18 carries to propel the team to their second conference win.

• Panther quarterback Ricky Bautista threw for over 250 yards against the Poets and rushed for 66 yards for 318 total offensive yards. Bautista threw for two touchdowns, finding Jacob Isabel and Ethan Weinstein on the receiving end.

• Receivers Isabel and Weinstein both caught for 100 yards in last week's game. Isabel recorded 125 total offensive yards on seven catches and two carries, while Weinstein tallied 100 yards on five catches. 

• For the second time this season two receivers hauled in triple digit yardage in a single game.  It is the first time in school history that the Panthers have had two 100-plus yard receivers in two separate games in the same season.

Eddie Lee Favors III anchored a strong defensive effort with a career-high 13 tackles against Whittier last week, including nine solo tackles and four assisted.
