Deeb selected as SCIAC Specialist of the Week

ORANGE, Calif. – Junior punter Elias Deeb was awarded SCIAC Specialist of the Week after helping the Panthers control field position in their narrow 31-28 loss to Whitworth this past Saturday.

The Newport Beach, Calif. native placed three of his four punts inside the 20-yard line for a total of 174 yards. Deeb averaged 43.5 yards per punt with a long of 48 yards. Two of the junior's' four punts pinned the Pirates within 10 yards of their own end zone, including a 46-yarded that went out-of-bounds at Whitworth's one 4-yard line.

Deeb is averaging 44.4 yards per punt after two games this season and has racked up 446 total yards on just 10 punts.
