Keefe hauls in second SCIAC weekly honor

ORANGE, Calif. – Junior Dillon Keefe was recognized as the SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced on Monday.

The linebacker from Orange, Calif., was all over the field once again in another stout defensive effort from the Panthers' defense. He led the team with nine total tackles in the win over Whittier and grabbed his first career interception. He also dragged down Miguel Avina for a sack and was in his face twice for a QB hurry.

When junior Cody Masterson blocked Whittier's first punt, Keefe was there to grab the loose ball and return inside Chapman's 10 to set up the Panthers' first touchdown.

The Panthers will put their undefeated record on the line against No. 15 Redlands when the Bulldogs visit Chapman Stadium on Saturday at 7 p.m.
