Bio

Owens returns to the Chapman coaching staff along side his brother and head coach Bob after a brief time away from the program. He originally joined the Panthers' staff in 2006 and has more than 20 years of coaching experience, including stints as quarterbacks coach at Whittier College and Azusa Pacific University. After working primarily with the quarterbacks through his coaching career at Chapman, Owens switched position groups and will coach the running backs beginning in 2022.

Owens played quarterback at University of Oregon as well as Whittier College where he graduated in 1986 with a bachelor's degree in communications. Owens went on to earn his master's degree in public administration from National University in 2010.
