Zavrsnick earns D3hoops All-Region honors

ORANGE, Calif. – Chapman University senior guard Colin Zavrsnick has been named to the D3hoops.com All-West Region team on Monday for the first time in his career. The senior becomes the first Panther since Justin Riley (2011) to earn All-Region honors.

Zavrsnick averaged 18.6 points in leading Chapman to its first regular season SCIAC championship (three-way tie) in school history and into the SCIAC Tournament championship game for the second straight year. The senior led the SCIAC in three-pointers made and ranked among the top three-point shooters in Division III (81-for-219; 41.8 percent).

A two-time All-SCIAC First Team selection, he also finished third in the conference in steals and tied for fifth in blocked shots. He scored 20 or more points in a game 11 times this season, including a career-high 36 points in a game against Whittier on Jan. 3.

Zavrsnick ranks seventh all-time at Chapman and second in the Panthers' Division III history with 1,399 points.
