NABC tabs Zavrsnick as first Panther ever on All-District team

ORANGE, Calif. – Chapman University senior basketball player Colin Zavrsnick has been selected as the first Panther in school history to earn National Association of Basketball Coaches' (NABC) Division III All-West District team, announced earlier this month.

Zavrsnick was named to the All-District Second Team after he averaged 18.6 points in leading Chapman to its first regular season SCIAC championship (three-way tie) in school history. The senior led the SCIAC in three-pointers made and ranked among the top three-point shooters in Division III (81-for-219; 41.8 percent).

The guard leaves Chapman ranked in the top 10 in 11 statistical categories in the school's Division III history, placing third in field goals made (493) and points per game (13.7) and fourth in games played (102).

In the conference, Zavrsnick led the Panthers to the SCIAC Tournament final in back-to-back years in the 2014-15. He was a two-time All-SCIAC First Team selection and was named to the D3hoops.com All-West Region team this postseason.

Member NABC coaches in NCAA Division III select the best men's collegiate basketball student athletes and coaches in the division. Additional information about the NABC, its programs and membership, can be found at www.nabc.org.
