Haslam recognized as National Rookie of the Year

Freshman Cam Haslam gained national recognition on Saturday as he was named the National Rookie of the Year by D3hoops.com. Haslam is the first Panther to earn the prestigious honor in school history.

For the second season in a row, the Chapman University men’s basketball team was represented on the National Association of Basketball Coaches’ All-West District Team. Freshman Cam Haslam continued his accolade-ridden postseason with a First Team nod.

Freshman Cam Haslam made Chapman men’s basketball history as the first player in school history to earn West Region Rookie of the Year honors from D3hoops.com. Haslam also earned All-West Region second team honors, becoming the second Panther in as many years to earn All-Region honors.

A historic run has led to an already historic award season for the Chapman University men’s basketball team. Freshman Cam Haslam was named the Panthers’ first-ever SCIAC Athlete of the Year while Mike Bokosky was awarded his first SCIAC Coach of the Year honors. Chapman had three more players honored on the All-SCIAC teams.

Late comeback attempt comes up just short in NCAA First Round

The Chapman University men’s basketball team hung tough but ultimately fell 91-84 at No. 12 Whitman in the First Round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship. The first 15 minutes featured a seesaw battle that saw the lead change hands several times.

Cam led the Panthers to a SCIAC Tournament title with 21 points in each game as Chapman claimed the conference's AQ. He was 13-of-27 from the floor, 6-of 10 from three-point range and 10-of-13 from the line.

Panthers set to face Missionaries in NCAA First Round

Chapman and Whitman will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. in Walla Walla, Wash. for the first round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Championship. The winner will move on the Saturday’s second round game at Whitworth.

The SCIAC champion Chapman University men’s basketball team will head to Walla Walla, Wash. on Thurs., March 3 to take on Whitman College in the first round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Championship. Chapman earned the SCIAC’s automatic berth into the tournament after winning both the regular season and SCIAC Tournament titles.

Freshman Cam Haslam sunk a pair of free throws with two seconds left on the clock to send the Chapman University men’s basketball team to the NCAA Tournament with a 71-69 win over Redlands on Saturday. It is the Panthers second SCIAC Tournament in three years.

The Chapman University men’s basketball team never trailed on the way to a 71-61 win over fourth-seeded Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in Friday’s SCIAC semifinal at the Hutton Sports Center. Freshman Cam Haslam had 21 points to lead the Panthers to the win.

Men's basketball falls on Senior Night

Junior Luke Hamlin scored 26 points but the Chapman University men’s basketball team fell 77-73 to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Tuesday at the Hutton Sports Center. The two teams will meet again in just a few days for the SCIAC Semifinal on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

The Chapman University men’s basketball team clinched at least a share of the regular season SCIAC title with its 87-72 win over Cal Lutheran. Sophomore James Taylor dropped a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

The Chapman University men’s basketball team is SCIAC Tournament bound after a decisive 84-59 win over Redlands at Hutton Sports Center on Saturday. Sophomore Rob Nelsen scored 18 points to lead four Panthers in double figures.

Hamlin leads Panthers to sole possession of first place

Junior Luke Hamlin led the Chapman University men's basketball team to a 76-67 victory over La Verne on Monday night at the Hutton Sports Center. Monday night's victory gave the Panthers sole possession of first place in SCIAC with a one and a half game lead over the Leopards heading into the last six games.

Panthers avenge early season loss to Oxy at home

The Chapman University men's basketball team avenged an early season loss to Occidental on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Tigers 65-53 at the Hutton Sports Center. The win extended Chapman's winning streak to six, improving the Panthers to 13-4 overall and 7-2 in SCIAC.
