Haslam named preseason All-American

ORANGE, Calif. – Reigning SCIAC Athlete of the Year Cam Haslam has been named a preseason All-American by D3Hoops.com. The award follows a spectacular freshman season that ended with Haslam earning Rookie of the Year honors from D3Hoop.com.

Last year, Haslam led the Panthers to a SCIAC regular season title, tournament title and a berth into the NCAA Tournament with 19.5 points per game. He was recognized as the top player in the conference, one of the best players in the region and the best freshman in the nation.

Haslam was just one of two sophomores included on D3hoops' preseason All-America teams. Haslam earned a spot on the fourth team. North Central's Connor Raridon earned Honorable Mention and was the only other underclassmen on the prestigious team.

The guard from Seattle, Wash., was also the only player from the West Coast to be recognized on the national team. Haslam joins former Panther Colin Zavrsnick as the only Panthers to earn the preseason honor.

Chapman's season tips off at home when the Panthers take on La Sierra at 7 p.m. on Tue., Nov. 15.
