Taylor earns Second Team nod for second time

ORANGE, Calif. –  Junior James Taylor earned All-SCIAC honors for the second year in a row. The conference released the All-SCIAC teams on Wednesday with Taylor representing Chapman on the Second Team.

Taylor led the Panthers in scoring this year with a career-best 13.8 points per game overall and 12.9 points per game in conference play. He ranked 14th in the SCIAC in scoring during the conference season and 16th in rebounding. His 56.2 field goal percentage ranked fifth. His 17 blocks in SCIAC games this year ranked fourth.

The forward from Laguna Beach, Calif., scored over 20 points four times this year, including a 26-point in the Panthers win over Cal Lutheran and 27 points on a near perfect shooting night at La Verne.

This is Taylor's second career Second Team selection after earning the same honor in 2015-16.
