Moore named SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week
ORANGE, Calif. – Senior Hayden Moore was honored as the SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week after leading the Panthers to a pair of victories last week.
Moore averaged 20.5 points after shooting over 50 percent from three-point range in a pair of victories over Pomona-Pitzer and Redlands. In a crucial mid-week road win over Pomona-Pitzer, Moore scored 16 points and went 7-of-7 from the free throw line.
On Saturday, he scored 25 points as the Panthers pulled away from Redlands to stay in a tie for first place atop the SCIAC standings. It was the fifth time he scored at least 20 points this season. He hit 5-of-7 three-point attempts and moved into Chapman's top-10 all-time for three-point field goals made.
The Panthers won again on Monday to move their winning streak to seven games. They return home to take on Occidental on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
