Three Panthers tie for top spot in Tri-Match

WHITTIER, Calif. – The Chapman University men's golf team owned the top-4 spots, including three tied for medalist honors, at the Tri-Match in Whittier, Calif. on Thursday. Juniors Bryan Wise and Chuck Pedone, along with freshman Griffin Tso, tied atop the individual standings of the second of three Tri-Matches with Whittier and Cal Lutheran this year.

Wise, Pedone and Tso all shot a 73 in the one round event to end up three over par but at the top of the leaderboard. Another freshman Dallas Haun was just one shot back in fourth place.

Haun was golfing in just his second round of the season for the Panther, setting a new season-low. Pedone also had one of his best rounds of the season, tying his low with a 73. Wise and Tso each fired off their fourth round of the season finishing three-over-par or better this season.

The Panthers next have a dual match scheduled with Hope International on Mar. 21 before competing in the West Cup Mar. 27-29.
