Tso finishes top-10 in final tournament of fall season
PRESCOTT, Ariz. – The Chapman University men's golf team finished its fall season at the Embry-Riddle Co-ed Invitational this past Monday and Tuesday in Prescott, Ariz. The men finished in eighth place in the nine-team tournament.
Junior Griffin Tso led the Panthers, finishing the 56-man tournament tied for 10th place with a score of 222 (+9). He was able to knock two strokes off his first round in the second round of play, but shot five-over par in the third round.
The next to finish was freshman Brody Hval, who ended tied for 16th with four other competitors. He finished with a score of 226, shooting 13-over par on the tournament. Four strokes behind Hval was freshman Avery Keating, who tied for 29th place with a score of 230 (+17). The rookie was able to shave six strokes off his round two score in the third round, hitting three-over par on the final day of competition.
Junior Dallas Haun finished next, tied for 42nd place with a score of 238 (+25). He shot his best round on the first day of competition, firing for six-over par in the first round of the tournament. Sophomore Sian Rogers was the final Panther to finish, posting a score of 256 (+43).
The Panthers finished up their fall play, but return to the course in the spring of 2018.
