221 Panthers honored as SCIAC All-Academic

Chapman University’s student-athletes matched their record number with 221 SCIAC All-Academic selections in for the 2018-19 school year. The Panthers had the fourth-most selections of the nine schools in the SCIAC.
Keating, Tso earn All-SCIAC honors

Sophomore Avery Keating and senior Griffin Tso earned All-SCIAC Second Team Honors earlier this afternoon after helping the Panthers to a fifth place overall finish this season. Tso was also awarded the Jesse Clark Sportsmanship Award in his final season.

Senior Griffin Tso jumped up to eighth and the Chapman University men’s golf team finished fifth at the SCIAC Championships. The Panthers missed out on fourth place on the team leaderboard by a stroke.

Senior Griffin Tso jumped up 14 spots on the second day of the SCIAC Championships to sit tied for ninth overall. The Panthers stayed in their fifth place spot after shooting a 308 (+20) this afternoon.

The Chapman University men’s golf team sits in fifth place after the first day of the SCIAC Championships held at Brookside Golf Club. The Panthers shot a team score of 293 (+13) and sit just two strokes behind fourth-place Redlands.

The Chapman University men’s golf team heads to the Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena, Calif. this weekend to compete in the SCIAC Championships. The three-day tournament begins on Thursday, April 18 and runs until Saturday, April 20.
Men’s golf takes sixth at second SCIAC meet

The Chapman University men’s golf team took sixth place this past weekend at the second SCIAC dual meet, shooting a 621 (+53) as a team over the course of two rounds. Sophomore Avery Keating led the squad, tying for eighth place overall after shooting a 152 (+10) on the par-72 course.

Sophomore Avery Keating finished the last round at par to lead the Chapman University men’s golf team to an 11th-place finish at the West Cup. After a rough opening round the Panthers rebounded to climb four spots on the team leaderboard.
Tso ties for top spot in Tri-Match

Senior Griffin Tso tied for the low round in the Chapman University men’s golf team’s tri-match against Cal Lutheran and Vanguard. The Panthers finished first, fourth, seventh, ninth and 12th in the 15-player event.
Men’s golf takes fifth in first SCIAC match

The Chapman University Men’s golf team finished fifth place in their first SCIAC match of the season, shooting 603 (+27) overall. On day one, the Panthers scored 309 (+21) and then followed with a score of 294 (+6) on day two, shaving off 15 strokes.
Men’s golf takes second place in Poet Classic

The Chapman Men’s golf team placed second last Friday in the Poet Classic, shooting 313 (+29) as a team and finishing just one stroke back from La Verne. The Panthers competed against La Verne, Pomona-Pitzer, Whittier College, and Vanguard University.

The Chapman University men’s golf team opened the spring season with a dual round against Cal Lutheran on Tuesday. Senior Zach Gellens tied for second to lead the Panthers in the spring-opener.
Men’s golf finishes fall schedule at MCU Fall Invite

The Chapman University men’s golf team rounded out its fall schedule as it competed in the Marymount Fall Invitational in Palm Springs from Sunday, Oct. 21 – Tuesday, Oct. 23. The Panthers placed seventh with a team score of 877 (+13) while sophomore Avery Keating led the pack, tying for sixth place overall.
Hval's low round highlights first fall tournament

Sophomore Brody Hval equaled the lowest round and lowest two-round score in school history to lead the Chapman University men’s golf team to a third-place finish at the CA State Intercollegiate. The Panthers turned in two solid rounds in a row to place third among the 12 teams at the tournament.
