Shah awarded NSCAA Scholar All-West honors

ORANGE, Calif. - Chapman University soccer player Jeff Shah has been named to the 2008 National Soccer Coaches Association of America's (NSCAA) Scholar All-West Region second team. This is Shah's first Scholar All-West honor and he becomes the first men's soccer player in school history to earn the award.

Shah, a junior midfielder, ranked amongst Chapman's top starters with four assists for 10 points in 18 games this season while earning a 3.4 GPA. The Panthers finished 12-4-2 in 2008 and ranked No. 6 in the West Region at season's end.

The NSCAA is the largest coaches association in the nation, comprised of more than 26,000 members. The NSCAA's broad recognition system awards nearly 10,000 individual players each year at the high school and collegiate levels.
