Shah selected to men's soccer All-West Region team

ORANGE, Calif. - Chapman University men's soccer player Jeff Shah has been named to the 2009 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Men's NCAA Division III All-West Region second team. The last Chapman men's soccer player to be selected by the NSCAA to its All-West Region team was Aaron Poling in 1999, also a second team selection.

Shah started all 18 games for the Panthers in 2009, finishing with three goals and three assists for a total of nine points. This is the first time that Shah, a three-time All-Independent team selection, has been chosen by the NSCAA to its All-West Region Team. In 2008, he did however get selected to the NSCAA Scholar All-West Region team.

The Santa Ana, Calif. Native finished his Chapman career in fourth all-time with 14 assists and tied for 10th in total points with 32, tallying 9 goals and 14 assists.

The NSCAA is the largest coaches association in the nation, comprised of more than 30,000 members. The NSCAA's broad recognition system awards nearly 10,000 individual players each year at the high school and collegiate levels.
