Men's soccer earns at-large bid to NCAA Championship

ORANGE, Calif. – The season will continue on for the Chapman University men's soccer team as it received an at-large bid into the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship. Chapman will play UT-Dallas in the first round in San Antonio, Texas.

Chapman and UT-Dallas will meet at Trinity University on Sat., Nov. 12. The winner will move on to the second round to play the winner of the Trinity-Whitworth match on Sunday.

Chapman is making its first tournament appearance since 2011 and the sixth in head coach Eddie Carillo's 20-year tenure.

The Panthers join three conference champions in their tournament pod as Trinity won the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, Whitworth won the Northwest Conference and UTD won the American Southwest Conference. The Panthers and Comets have never met before.

Match times have not yet been set but will be updated on ChapmanAthletics.com.
