Howe named SCIAC Athlete of the Week

ORANGE, Calif. – Chapman University men's soccer junior Kai Howe was named the SCIAC Athlete of the Week for his performance this past week. The Tokyo, Japan native helped the Panthers extend their win and shutout streak to four, scoring three goals in just two games.

Howe took four shots against Occidental, scoring the first of two goals of the game off a rebound after teammate Elliot Braund's initial shot was blocked by the goalkeeper. The forward took six shots against Caltech, five of which were shots on goal. He was able to convert two, scoring the only two goals of the match in Chapman's 2-0 victory.

The junior transfer from St. Mary's College currently leads the SCIAC in shots at 56 and ranks tied for second on the team in goals (4).
