Men’s soccer headed to Texas for first round of NCAA

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University men's soccer team earned an automatic qualifier into the NCAA Division III Tournament after beating Occidental 1-0 in the SCIAC Championship on Saturday evening. The Panthers are traveling to San Antonio, Texas to take on the Trinity Tigers in the first round of the tournament.

Chapman posted an 11-7-1 overall record in the 2018 season. The fifth-ranked Tigers went 15-1-3 to win their seventh consecutive SCAC title.

The Panthers are no stranger to traveling to San Antonio in postseason action. Chapman earned an at-large bid in the 2016 season and beat UT Dallas in the first round before falling to Trinity 2-0 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Panthers face off against the Tigers on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 5pm.
