  • This is Chapman's second NCAA Tournament appearance since joining the SCIAC in 2012. In 2016, the Panthers earned an at-large bid after coming in third place in the conference and traveled to San Antonio for the first round.
  • Chapman beat UT-Dallas 1-0 in the first round of the tournament in 2016. The Panthers then faced off against Trinity in the second round, losing 2-0 to the Tigers.
  • Chapman entered this year's conference tournament as the No. 4 seed. The Panthers advanced past top seeded Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in penalty kicks to earn a spot in the championship match. Chapman went on to beat No. 3-seed Occidental 1-0 to claim its first-ever SCIAC Tournament title.
  • This is the eighth time Chapman has made an NCAA tournament appearance since joining NCAA Division III in 1994. The Panthers earned bids in 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2009, 2011 and 2016. The 1995 squad has been the most successful, making it to the Final Four.
  • Head Coach Eddie Carrillo has taken the Panthers to the tournament six times prior to this season. Under his direction, the Panthers advanced to the second round in 1998 and 2016.
  • Chapman is 0-2 all-time against the Tigers after losing 8-0 in the 2011 season and 2-0 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2016.
  • After dropping four matches in a row, the Panthers won their last three matches of the regular season to earn the final spot in the SCIAC Tournament. Chapman is currently riding a five-game win streak heading into the first round of NCAA.
  • Senior Kai Howe led the Panthers with six goals and five assists this season. The All-SCIAC First Team selection ranks third in the country with 5.59 shots per game. His five game-winning goals ranks him 18th in the nation.
  • Junior Jonah Tipp joined Howe on the All-SCIAC First Team, while junior center defenders Jarod Matteoni and Patrick Quinn earned spots on the Second Team. Senior defender Nick Rooney was awarded the SCIAC Award of Distinction for his hard work on and off the field over the course of his four years at Chapman.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Chandler Siemonsma has had a breakout first year with the Panthers. The rookie ranks 12th in the nation with a 0.877 save percentage. Siemonsma's 0.577 goals-against average ranks him 25th in the nation and tops the single-season Chapman record book.
