Men's tennis falls in first round of SCIAC Tournament
CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Chapman University men's tennis team fell 5-0 at Pomona-Pitzer in the first round of the SCIAC Tournament. The sixth-seeded Panthers fall into tomorrow's back draw.
Third-seeded Pomona-Pitzer took the top two doubles matches 8-3 and won 8-5 in the No. 3 match to grab the early 3-0 lead. In the singles portion, the Sagehens took the No. 5 match 6-0, 6-0 and clinch the win with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 2.
The Panthers finish up their season tomorrow with two matches to conclude the SCIAC Tournament.
