Four Scholar-Athletes honored from men's tennis

Four members of the Chapman University men’s tennis team were honored on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s list of Scholar-Athletes. Junior Brock Dehaven and senior Rasmus Helms each earned their third career Scholar-Athlete distinction.

Record number of student-athletes achieve academic distinction

Chapman University student-athletes raised the bar with a record number of 220 SCIAC All-Academic selections for the 2017-18 school year. This year marks the first time in Chapman’s six-year history in the SCIAC that more than 200 Panthers were included on the All-Academic teams.

Men’s tennis drops close final match

The Chapman University men’s tennis team dropped a close match 5-4 to Occidental College (7-9, 1-6 SCIAC) in their final appearance of the 2018 season. The Panthers (5-11, 0-7 SIAC) were led by freshman Jacob Lee and his dominant singles victory on the No. 1 court.

The Chapman University men’s tennis team fell to the 13th-ranked University of Redlands on Saturday, 7-2. The Panthers dropped their fourth consecutive match and fell to 0-5 in the SCIAC.

Lee earns solo victory in men’s tennis loss

The Chapman University men’s tennis team dropped a match to Cal Lutheran earlier this afternoon at Lastinger Tennis Center. Freshman Jacob Lee won the only match for the Panthers, beating his opponent 6-2, 6-2 on the No. 1 singles court.

The Chapman University men’s tennis team defeated the Whitworth Pirates 7-2 in an intense match on Wednesday evening at the Lastinger Tennis Center. The Panthers went undefeated in doubles and took four out of six singles from the Pirates.

The Chapman University men’s tennis team rolled past Principia College with a dominant 8-1 victory earlier this afternoon. Freshman Jacob Lee led the squad with a victory on both the No. 1 courts in his doubles and singles matches.

Men’s tennis notches 7-2 victory over Lake Forest

The Chapman University men’s tennis team completed the doubleheader victory for the Panthers as they beat Lake Forest 7-2 earlier tonight. Similar to the women’s match earlier today, sophomore Len Kamemoto completed a come-from-behind victory on the No. 2 court in his singles match.

The Chapman University men’s tennis team suffered a 6-3 loss to visiting Trinity (Conn.) on Thursday. The Panthers pushed up and down the lineup but came out on the wrong end of several tiebreakers.

A strong showing in singles led the Chapman University men’s tennis team to a 6-3 win over visiting Colorado College for its first victory of the season. The Panthers (1-1) took five of the six singles matches to overcome an early deficit.

Junior Brock DeHaven  captured a singles win in the season-opener but the Chapman University men’s tennis team fell 8-1 to Division II Biola on Tuesday. The Panthers had three freshmen in the starting lineup, including two of the three top singles spots and the top doubles team.

Youthful men's tennis team opens new season and new facility

After opening the brand new Lasting Tennis Center in the fall, the Chapman University tennis teams have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to christen the new facility. That chance finally comes on Tuesday when the men’s team takes on Biola at 1 p.m.

Chapman University held its formal grand opening of the brand new Erin J. Lastinger ’88 Tennis Center on Oct. 7. The new $5.3 million facility is located across from Marion Knott Studios on the corner of N. Cypress  St. and W. Palm Ave.
