Men's tennis earns ITA academic awards

The Chapman University men’s tennis team and five individual players earned academic recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The Panthers earned the ITA All-Academic Team Award for the second year in a row.

Nearly half of Chapman University student-athletes were recognized when the SCIAC released its annual All-Academic list today. Chapman set a new program high with 250 SCIAC All-Academic selections, far surpassing the previous high of 221.

After a few years without a SCIAC win, the Chapman University men’s tennis team has ended the slide. The Panthers (2-0, 1-0 SCIAC) defeated visiting Cal Lutheran 5-4 to end a 15-match SCIAC losing streak.
