ORANGE, Calif. – Senior Jacob Lee improved to 2-0 on the year but the Chapman University men's tennis team fell 6-1 to Azusa Pacific on Wednesday. The Panthers were taking on their second NCAA D-II opponent to start the season in visiting the ninth-ranked Cougars.

He has won both his matches this season and three of his last four, including the Panthers' two dual matches from 2020.

Freshman Danny Marsh also played a three-set match on court No. 6 but was edged out in the super tiebreaker third set 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-8). The Cougars previously swept the doubles and took the first four singles matches in straight sets.

Up next, Chapman has a SCIAC series lined up with Cal Lutheran in April. The first match will be on April 2 at Cal Lutheran.
