D3 Week Profile: Taylor Roszkos, Men's Water Polo

ORANGE, Calif. – In honor of Division III Week April 8-14, Chapman University is celebrating a handful of its outstanding student-athletes that represent the spirit of Division III athletics at its core. These dedicated students have excelled as Panthers both on the field of competition as well as amongst the elite in the classroom and in the community at large.

TAYLOR ROSZKOS – Men's Water Polo
Three-time All-America, ACWPC All-Academic

Three-time All-American Taylor Roszkos has enjoyed a decorated career as the starting goalie for the Panthers' men's water polo team. The future career animator has splashed his collegiate canvas with a colorful blend of athletic and academic accolades.

The team captain will graduate in May ranked second on Chapman's all-time career saves list (785), was the only goalie named first team All-SCIAC this past season, and became just the second Panther in school history to earn first team All-America honors from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).

Even more impressive, Roszkos boasts a 3.51 grade-point average and earned four straight All-Academic team selections by the Western Water Polo Association.

Division III has allowed Roszkos to hone his artistic talents while competing in the sport he loves.

"Playing at the Division III level has been beneficial because I've been able to focus on school and animation, while not having to worry about competing year round," says Roszkos.

After graduation, the digital arts major plans to work on freelance animation projects with his classmates.
