ophomore Wilson Parnell continues our D3 Week features all the way from Florence, Italy, where is is studying abroad this semester. The water polo student-athlete had his lower left leg amputated as a toddler and has overcome the odds to continue his playing career in college.

The Chapman University men's water polo team continued its collective effort toward academic excellence securing another year on the grade-point average leaderboard. The Panthers placed 10th in the nation according to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) with a collective GPA of 3.17 during the 2015 season.

Allen's First Team nod leads All-American trio

Senior Willis Allen became just the third Panther in Chapman University men’s water polo history to earn All-America first team honors from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC), the organization announced on Wednesday. Allen’s selection highlighted three Panthers selected to the All-American teams.

Seniors Willis Allen and Stephen Neil landed All-SCIAC honors after leading the Chapman University men’s water polo team to a second-place regular season finish this year. Allen earned First Team honors while Neil earned a spot on the Second Team. Both earned All-SCIAC honors for the first time in their respective careers.

Men's water polo caps season with narrow loss in third place match

For the second consecutive year, Chapman and Redlands met in the third place match of the SCIAC Tournament and the match was decided by a single goal. On Sunday, Redlands came out on top as the Chapman University men’s water polo team fell 10-9 to conclude its season.

Eight first half goals played a crucial role in the Chapman University’s men’s water polo team’s 10-8 win over Cal Lutheran in the opening round of the SCIAC Tournament. The fourth-seeded Panthers (15-10, 7-2 SCIAC) built a big lead early on and held off Cal Lutheran’s late surge.

The No. 4 Chapman University men’s water polo team heads into the SCIAC Tournament this weekend, hosted by the University of La Verne. The Panthers (14-10, 6-2 SCIAC) matched their SCIAC record from last season to pull into a three-way tie for second place with Whittier and Redlands.

Senior pair Willis Allen and Stephen Neil led the Chapman University men’s water polo in an intense overtime battle with second-place Whittier College on Wednesday night. The Panthers upset the Poets in sudden death with a key goal by junior Corey Plaster to give Chapman the 18-17 victory at Allred Pool.

The Chapman University men’s water polo team recorded three wins over the weekend at the Gary Troyer Tournament hosted by the Claremont Colleges. The Panthers moved to 6-7 overall with the three wins over the weekend.
