Gross to represent USA at 20th Maccabiah Games

ORANGE, Calif. – Chapman University men's water polo alumnus Jake Gross ('15) has been selected to represent Team USA at the 20th Maccabiah Games in Israel. The Games run from July 4-18 with the water polo tournament beginning on July 5 and the championship match being played on July 16.

The Maccabiah Games are held quadrennially in Israel as one of the largest sporting events in the world. Around 10,000 athletes from over 80 countries will compete in this year's event.

Gross was a First Team All-SCIAC and Second Team All-American utility player as a senior in 2014. He still ranks in the all-time top-10 in steals and assists at Chapman.

Team USA opens against Team Germany on July 5 in Netanya at the Wingate Institute for Physical Education and Sports.
