Panthers earn back-to-back academic awards

The Chapman University women’s swimming and diving team has achieved team Scholar All-America status from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the Spring 2011 semester. This is the second semester in a row the Panthers have earned the honor.

The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced the Chapman women's swimming and diving team has achieved team Scholar All-America status, for the Fall 2010 Semester. This is the first team honor the Panthers' swimming and diving program has earned.

The Chapman University women’s swimming team broke four school records at the Pacific Coast Swimming Conference championships at Belmont last week, led by freshman Julie Case who anchored three relay records and placed fifth overall in the 500-yard freestyle with a record-breaking time of 5:07.91.
Swimmers excel at 50-yard events in final home meet of the season

In its final home meet of the season, the Chapman University women’s swim team won five events -three of which were 50 yard sprints - against Biola University, Vanguard University and Mills College on Saturday afternoon at the Allred Aquatics Center.
Case falls just short of school record in weekend meet

Freshman Julie Case came just three tenths of a second from breaking the 500-yard freestyle school record and the Chapman University women’s swimming team finished in second place in a four-team meet Saturday at the Allred Aquatics Center.
Hour of power: Panthers relay for cancer

In an effort to raise awareness and money for cancer research, the Chapman University swim team will dive into the pool on Tuesday afternoon simultaneously with collegiate and high school swimmers all over the nation and across time zones. The Panthers “Hour of Power” will begin at exactly 2 p.m. PST on Nov. 9 at the Allred Aquatic Center.
Panthers get their feet wet in Inland Empire

The Chapman University swimming and diving team opened its 2010-11 season on Saturday and received some strong performances from some veterans and newcomers alike. Senior Julia Fish was the top swimmer for the Panthers at the Redlands Invitational. Meanwhile, freshman Kiernan Gilbert placed fourth in the 3-meter diving competition at Cal Baptist.
