CSCAA recognizes Chapman men, women for their classroom work

ORANGE, Calif. – Coming off the end of the 2014-15 season and a strong showing at the SCIAC Championships last weekend, the Chapman University men's and women's swimming and diving teams received some great news in the classroom. Both Panther teams earned Scholar All-America team recognition from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the Fall 2014 semester.

Chapman's men's team ranks No. 11 in all of Division III with an overall GPA of 3.40, and third in the highly-academic SCIAC behind No. 2 Pomona-Pitzer (3.60) and No. 4 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (3.48). A total of 71 men's teams in Division III were recognized for being above a cumulative 3.0 GPA.

Meanwhile, the Panther women came in ranked tied for No. 34 in Division III with the same 3.40 grade-point average, out of 108 ranked teams above a 3.0. However, the Chapman women rank second in the SCIAC behind only No. 3 Pomona-Pitzer (3.58).
