Freshman diver Dimicco earns All-SCIAC honors

WHITTIER, Calif. – Freshman diver Kayla Dimicco earned the All-SCIAC honors with her second-place finish in the 3-meter dive at the SCIAC Swimming and Diving Championships at Whittier College in February.

Dimicco is the first Chapman diver to receive this honor and the second swimming and diving athlete to earn All-SCIAC for the Panthers. The first swim and dive athlete to earn All-SCIAC was swimmer Julie Case who earned the honor two years in a row for her performance in 1,650-yard freestyle (2013-14).

Her 3-meter performance in the championships broke the Chapman record with a score of 423.30. Dimicco went on to compete in the 1-meter and 3-meter events in the NCAA Regional Championship in San Antonio, Texas. Dimicco also holds the school record in the 1-meter dive and was a member of Chapman's 400-yard freestyle relay team, which also set a Chapman record this season.
