A pair of Panther divers were recognized by the Collegiate Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America as Scholar All-America Honorable Mention. Junior Kellyn Toole and freshman Simran Rajani each earned the academic and athletic distinction.

Record number of student-athletes achieve academic distinction

Chapman University student-athletes raised the bar with a record number of 220 SCIAC All-Academic selections for the 2017-18 school year. This year marks the first time in Chapman’s six-year history in the SCIAC that more than 200 Panthers were included on the All-Academic teams.

Both Chapman University swimming & diving teams have earned Scholar All-America distinctions from the Collegiate Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America. The team award marks the tenth semester in a row that both teams have been honored.

Chapman University Athletics announced its annual senior departmental awards at the jog-a-thon on Friday afternoon. The Panthers awarded male and female Scholar-Athletes of the Year awards as well as male and female Leadership Awards.

Our week-long celebration continues with a four-year member of the women's swimming team, Rachel Kling. Rachel is finishing up her health sciences degree at Chapman and will jump right into postgraduate work at Chapman for Physical Therapy. She has helped the women's team rise from sixth place at the SCIAC Championships her freshman year to third place this year while maintaining a GPA over 3.9.

Toole takes fifth to wrap up regionals

Junior Kellyn Toole ended the season with a career-best finish at the NCAA Division III Region 2 Championships on Saturday. Toole took fifth on the 3-meter board to headline the two-day competition for the Panthers.

Three members of the Chapman University men’s and women’s dive team are competing in the NCAA Division III Regional Championship this weekend at Trinity University. Freshman Simon Duyungan is representing the men’s team, while freshman Simran Rajani and junior Kellyn Toole are representing the women.

Best SCIAC Finals finish ever caps off historic swim and dive season

The Chapman University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams finished the SCIAC Championships the best they have since joining the conference. The women finished third with a team score of 504, while the men finished in seventh place with a score of 323. Junior Kellyn Toole took another trip to the podium, this time earning All-SCIAC by coming in first in the 3-meter board with a score of 443.90 for her third consecutive top-3 finish.

Freshman William Crewe made Chapman history as the first male swimmer to earn a spot on the podium on day three of the SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships. Crewe climbed the podium after he finished third in the 100 back.

Toole All-SCIAC again, Crewe demolishes school record

After day two of the SCIAC swimming and diving championships, the women sit in third place with a team score of 222 while the men are in seventh with a total score of 173. Freshman William Crewe set the pace for the Panthers, demolishing the Chapman school record in the 200 IM this afternoon.

Four relays. Four school records. The 2018 SCIAC Championships are underway and the Chapman University swimming & diving teams made history in every swimming event. The Panthers set four different relay records to propel the women to third place as a team and the men into fifth.

The Chapman University swimming & diving teams heads into the SCIAC Championships this weekend with both teams eyeing upward movement in the standings. The women’s team has finished fourth in back-to-back years while the men took eighth last year.

Ranjani qualifies for second regional event in women’s victory over Caltech

The Chapman University men’s and women’s swim and dive teams competed against Caltech earlier today. The women won by a team score of 160-68, while the men lost 123-81.  Freshman diver Simran Ranjani qualified for NCAA Regionals and came in first place in the 3-meter boards with a score of 286.97.

Two school records highlight final home meet

Two school records went down in the final dual meet of the season for the Chapman University swimming & diving teams. The Panthers fell to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in both duals with the men falling 219-74 and the women suffering a 196-103 defeat.

The Chapman University men’s and women’s swim and dive teams earned the distinction of Scholar All-America teams for the Fall 2017 semester by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America this morning for the third consecutive year.

The Chapman University men’s and women’s swim and dive teams faced off against Biola this weekend. The men took home a victory against the Eagles for the second time this season while the women fell.
